‘The House of Falling Furniture’  and the ‘Alamo Park Shoe Garden’ are a must see when traveling to San Francisco. Can you believe I was there this summer and missed both these spectacles? I did see and take pictures of the six sisters (houses on Alamo Park) while walking the dog. That city is just as enough off-center and twisted for me to really enjoy it. Besides you can a turkey burger just about any place you look.

Is this cool or what? Vinegar does it again. Immediately dump your fresh berries in a solution of water and 10% white or apple vinegar. Leave in for a couple minutes then rinse off with clean water or leave on if you don’t smell the vinegar – to your taste. Put the berries in the refrigerator immediately after letting them drain well. Put a double paper towel under the berries and don’t enclose. Berries should last for a week and often up to two weeks.


The water and vinegar solution kills the bacteria on the berries and therefore keeping the berries mold-free longer. The time that the berries remain mold free depends on how fresh or over ripe the berries are when purchased. Let me know what you think or your experience.


If you doubt the old wise one…look it up online. May your berries stay fresh and firm for many moons.

As you might have noticed the Eden House has new cams for the pool and
spa. They are HD and MOST of my guests and I love them. Now for the
bad news. They are not adjustable for wider angle viewing and they take
a poop load more bandwidth. So you say, I should have known. I wish I
had, I probably would have stayed with the old cams. After a couple
months of playing around with them, getting a ‘pipe line’ (more
bandwidth) and re-positing them, they are complete. That said, some of
my more loyal fans/viewers want more view of the spa. I’m sorry but
that ain’t going to happen…I can’t make it happen. I am showing off
the Eden House and not giving an exclusive viewing of the spa….hard as
that may seem.

I hope this doesn’t stop you from returning to the Eden House. The view
of the spa is great from here.

RJ and Steve did it again this February. These guys are a couple song
writin’ fools. They wrote two songs last year that appears on RJ’s
newly released ‘dreams that rhyme’ and they wrote a couple more songs
this year. This is a very good CD and it has my personal stamp of
approval. The songs run the gambit: from county, to ballads and then
the toe tappers. You can understand the words and they make a lot of
sense. “Like a string of pearls”

RJ has great taste in hats

If you eat organic then this smart phone app is for you – Fooducate is the name…quality of food is the game. (Bill Lechnar I don’t want one damn word out of that potty mouth of yours. Just shut your pie hole.) With this app you can scan a bar code or type in a particular product and find out what you have been eating. This is a very good app and you shouldn’t leave home without it. Tell a friend, tell your wife, if you are speaking, tell the world. This is BIG. Don’t pay organic prices and get short changed.

Cornucopia is a great site to educate oneself on organic food and if it is actually organic. Saying it and being it is two different things. Check ‘em out once in awhile in between your facebook visits. Make the time.

I’m heading to our happy hour cart and have some of that organic booze. Oops! Just scanned the bar code and there ain’t nothing organic ’bout that stuff. Make mine a double…

Micky D’s must be the national food in the ‘Bizarro World’. If you have time to read this article, please do so. If this shit is going on with the McNuggets you can bet it is in everything that they are selling. The Beatles were way ahead of their time. Long before big business starting putting tertiary butylhydroquinone (TBHQ), a form of butane in their bottom line. Time for a tofu burger and a big salad.
