Is anyone else as ticked off with Toyota as I am? I had a ’79 truck and liked it. I now have a 2006 Avalon and like it too. Every time I call the dealership and inquire as to when they plan to do the recall on my car, I am told that I will get a letter in the mail. Supposedly they have fixed the unsold cars on the lot and the rest of the world can wait. It is just as well, the repaired cars are still whacked. Sorry for my ranting and raving. Needless to say, this will be my last Toyota. My father was a mill wright at Buick for nearly thirty years. I guess it time to give them another try. Am I the only person pissed off with Toyota?
See ya soon, Mike

Thanks for the warning Mik,, I’ll be sure to get out of your way! My brother works at Ford (LAP) and says it’s about time that Toyota is on the front page with their problems. He has been saying for a while that Toyota was having problems but wasn’t made public. Good luck, don’t want to hear about you drivin’ off the White St pier!!!

I just bought my ’03 Toyota Highlander right before this recall business happened. Although mine is not under recall (yet, if ever), it does seem pretty whack the way they are handling this major deal. I had my last car for thirteen years and now this? So far I love what I got (probably cause I’m like a kid with a new toy). They better not burst my bubble. So, I sympathise with you all the way.

I, too, am pissed off! I just bought my daughter a 2010 Corolla thinking I was buying her the safest car available. I just got it back from the dealership last week and now I find out that the recall isn’t working anyway. Sheesh, what a waste of time and money. Next time I’ll buy a Nissan.

Buy a Honda, they always stop. Then get some Guinness.

Sorry, I loved my 86 tercel and I love the 98 4runner I still drive. Does this mean you will throw away my entry postcards for future contests?

I’m a firm believer in Mazda (20 years and going strong!) My Dad worked his entire life for GM (Fisher Body) and never bought a GM or a Mazda. He swore by Chrysler..I still haven’t figured that one out?!? It seems every make has its irksome issues but the severity of the Toyota issue is pretty scary. Good Luck!

Sandra we are not getting rid of our 2006 Avalon either. My disappointment was with how indifferent the dealer was with the corrections. Though, when I am behind the wheel now I am of the mind-frame to slam it in neutral and turn it off if the thing decides to leave the highway.
The only drawing we still have that your postcard would still be good for is the stay in Texas which I am getting ready to draw this week and I have a new revelation coming off the press soon.
